This game is a submission to the 2024 Pirate Software Game Jam. This was made using Godot 4.3., Aseprite, and LMMS. 

In the light, it plays as a regular platformer; watch out, even a single hit from an enemy can kill you! But, when you enter the shadow, enemies can't see you, and you're able to take them out just by running into them. Eventually you unlock the ability to throw shadow potions, allowing you to create little pockets of shadow wherever you please. Have fun!

Tips:

  • Doors with a skull on them require you to kill all enemies to progress
  • Once you unlock shadow potions, you have an unlimited amount and can use them wherever and whenever you'd like
  • Golden doors mark the end of a level

Default Controls (Can be changed in settings menu):

  • WASD for Movement
  • J for Jump
  • K for Potions
  • W also for entering doors
  • Esc for Pause (or press the button in the bottom left corner)

Really cool idea. Nice game!

This one is really good! the control feels very smooth :D

Smooth controls and clever levels! Enjoyed this one. First I thought that the potion might make the game too easy, but the levels were very well designed. Good challenge all the way!

Oh this is really super. I love the concept of shadows and light area and how the control changes. Reminds me a bit like control of Gris slightly but provides more flexibility. The music also is super for this genre.
